OK … Got it … David Bowie is dead

An evil goblin king, played by David Bowie, pictured here, a talking door knocker, fairies and a colony of goblins will join producer/director Brian Henson and members of the Jim Henson Creature Shop at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and SciencesÕ 20th anniversary screening and onstage discussion of ÒLabyrinthÓ (1986) on Thursday, July 20, at 8 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

This morning I had a million different articles running through my head that I wanted to start writing but as most days I first have some water and coffee, a bagel and do some dishes. So far a normal day. I spent more time this morning while waiting for my bagel de-cluttering my cupboards in the kitchen which consisted of “the bakeware cupboards”.

Then I hit FaceBook, yes I’m guilty of seeing what’s new and staying in touch, taking a few moments to comment and like, save things of importance and move on. But guess what? David Bowie is dead ….

YUP he’s dead, and again another RIP, and another I’ll miss you, and more of the same we will miss you Bowie …. UGH

I don’t like to spend a lot of time “in the negative” so I’ll try make this quick.

I understand, he’s dead, now my rant is why can’t I filter my FaceBook newsfeed to eliminate the posts that mention him over and over again. I want to log on and see a quick synopsis of what I’ve missed. Not spend hours scrolling past the repetitive posts that I have no interest in.

Hence another reason behind my love/hate relationship with FaceBook.

Are you listening??
