Helping Everyone Move & We Are Empty Nesters!

Status Update

Wow what a busy past few weeks. It seems every time I am quiet on the blog and socially it’s because we are swamped with things happening in our personal lives.

Oh well, I’ve given up on the “you must have XX blog posts per day/week etc” and the “you must do this to make ensure your readers stay with you” … sorry but I will try and post when I can. It is just that simple. I’m a bit of a rebel anyway and never did like following the “rules“!  Yes, I feel guilty for not getting more blog posts out to you and believe me that it is not for the lack of having things to say or any “writers block”.

My head often swarms with too many ideas, so much so, that I wake up in the middle of the night and start writing myself notes on the up and coming material. If I didn’t do this I would not be able to get to sleep at night.

Yet as we all know life gets busy and has it’s ups and downs. From about mid-March to mid-April we’ve been assisting our youngest of three children in her moving plans. Finally things have come together and they have a lovely 2-bedroom starter apartment, we’ve packed, moved, un-packed, organized and even (I think) settled them in now. There are so many little details that need to be taken care of it just boggles my mind at times. When you are like us, we haven’t needed to do these things in oh probably 30 years now. Funny how time flies by when you are having fun. The last time we actually moved was back in 2004 from the city to country locale.

Now we are pleased to announced that we are Empty Nesters!! Woohoo!! The day has finally arrived and we are grateful to have three wonderful children, out on their own, doing their own thing, leading their lives. We love them all to bits.

And now guess what? Just when you thought it was safe. We will be moving my mother-in-law from Brampton, Ontario out to Trenton as well at the end of this month. Ugh will it ever end! I do enjoy helping others and get pleasure out of having family close to home. Yet I must admit it has taken it’s toll on my hubby and I. Not only the stress and aches and pains of physically moving but also often the emotional turmoil that comes right along side.

Since I had to buckle down for Tax Season, I did manage to get one new blog post out with regards to Not Dreading Tax Season and how you can actually save money by doing it yourself. Give it a read and I hope it leads you in the right direction.

I am sure you can understand and as always I hope you follow me on Instagram and Twitter or FaceBook as often, if I have even the briefest of moments, I try to post something on these social media sites and it keeps everyone in the loop as to what is going on behind the scenes too.

If you haven’t done so already feel free to subscribe to my email list and be sure to catch all of my latest blog posts. I’m sure once the dust starts to settle some more around here there will be plenty of new articles for you to read. I really would like to thank all of you staying tuned no matter how often I post on this website.

Take care for now …. see you all around. Cheers Irene
